I had an exercise with my painting class to try to copy Henri Matisse’s Open Window Collioure in 10 minutes with a restricted colour palette.

I needed to stop and take a second to let the scene fully take me over. I took a quick snap attempting to save the moment. Little did I know, later that same evening, this moment would be captured forever.
